I love action figures, but am not beholden to any one line of figures, as long as they're 6-7 inch scale. I am more interested in unique figures that catch my attention, whether for visual reasons, or for the story they have to tell...this figure caught my eye for both reasons. I love the sleek look and simple design of the figure, but I also really love the story behind how these figures came to be in the first place. My daughters have teased me for a while that my collection didn't have enough "ladies" (their word)...I thought I was doing well in that regard, but looking at my shelves, I realized they were right. Then someone in a collector group posted about the deal where during a certain month, every one of these core figures that was purchased would mean one also got donated to a child with cancer...that was an eye-catcher. So i started reading about the line, and the fact that it was created by a woman and that made me even more interested - and my daughters got really excited by all that as well, so I picked one up! The figure itself is a solid figure. The joints on mine are somewhat loose, but as a collector, I know ways to fix that issue fairly painlessly. Lots of great articulation on this to match the big names in figures (still better than the majority of McFarlane Toys figures - although their Fortnite line has kinda changed that for the better), which makes posing her really fun. My sole complaint about this figure is she doesn't want to stand up very well on her own. She does, but it is pretty easy to accidentally knock her over. Luckily I have extra figure stands for mine, but this might be something to look into adding to future figures in the 6-inch line. Good paints, good design, good articulation, great story behind the whole line in general...and a truly unique, interesting figure for my collection. I wish there were more 6-inch versions available (it's what I collect), as I would definitely pick up more of them!
I had seen other toy collectors with these and how they supported a great cause so when I got mine I was very pleased. A female action figure with great articulation, nice accessories and part of a whole different world of representation of emotion. I am on the way to reviewing this on my blog as well as ordering other figures in the line. Fantastic work.
